The Stanthorpe Agricultural Society is a diverse group of individuals committed to furthering a variety of activities in the local area.
The main event of the year is Stanthorpe Show held in late January/early February, The Show incorporates the activities of the sub-committees into one grand event held over two days. In 2013, the Show dates are Friday 1 February and Saturday 2 February. Throughout the year the Showgrounds are host to a diverse variety of exhibitions, auctions and other special events .
The ever popular Campdraft is planned for the weekend of 9 & 10 March 2013. A Practice Campdraft & Team Penning Event is scheduled for the weekend of 3 & 4 November 2012.
The Animal Nursery holds monthly events, usually on the last Saturday of the month. The Poultry Committee holds a variety of events during the year with an Annual Show in July and a Poultry Auction in August.
For those more interested in wine and winemaking, the Society is host to the prestigious Australian Small Winemakers Show which is held in October. This includes a variety of activities of interest to both the winemakers and the public.
As well as these regular activities, the Showgrounds is the venue chosen for a variety of functions ranging from small private family gatherings and parties to major events like the 2011 Citroen Car Club Cit-In held over the Easter weekend.
