Jorth Gar Living History Society - Stanthorpe
Jorth Gar Living History Society
Jorth Gar Living History Society now has a training group in Stanthorpe.
We are a historical re-enactment group recreating aspects of the lives of Viking and Eastern mercenaries serving as an elite guard to the Byzantine Emperor during the 10th and 11th centuries.
The Stanthorpe training group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 3pm at MacGregor Park (bordered by Railway, Hillcrest and Lock Streets, Stanthorpe), and focuses on skills and fitness training for re-enactment, dark age and early medieval combat.
The Stanthorpe group will also have a focus on non-combatant skills such as blacksmithing, woodworking, leatherworking, eating and drinking!
Other ALHA or QLHA members are welcome at training sessions.
